i am saddened to know that we cannot even have 5 for the games.

 

Though the option to call up the juniors, this competition is meant for the seniors only.

 

I recalled I responded to our call for more games to make practice relevant and I even ready to spend my own money to join the BBAXN league. The BBAXN league would have cost me $125 per game for 20 games. But Kovan Cup comes along and the organizer only charges $400 for all games. In fact the Kovan cup organizer will still have to pay referees for all games that we walkover and we also cost other team the time and traveling cost that was ready to play us.

 

People who are affected are least of my concern. But the name of WRS should not have gone down so low that not even 5 can make it.

 

Enough is enough that I have to beg to ask we all to play.

 

I will be writing to withdraw and pay for all the referees’ fees that WRS walk over.

 

I must make a point here, it is never about the money spent on jersey/ competitions and etc, I was merely responding to your call wanting to play together and I kept my word that I will provide. For I thought we want to not because for ourselves but to play the WRS way of basketball which is always about effort and effort and effort. I see great meaning as it show you the way to be successful in life. After all I am still your teacher whom wants to instill value that will make you successful.

 

I just felt ashamed that we let the organizer down. It should not have even happen if we had not take part.

HEY. our very last match of the MILO CUP. to most of us, it's our very last U18 Cup that we are eligible, namely SAM OH, ENG HUI TAN, ZHEN FENG LEE, RICHARD NEO, ALAN WONG, KENNETH LEE, WEIJIE HENG.
but to some of us, it's the last basketball competition cup that you will take part. either time-commitment or lost in passion, but we are STILL one big family. remember ELE, Everybody Love Everybody, WRS will still open the door if you need some warmth. hahah. to those junior, got to work hard and continue to let WRS to grow and don't waste our, we the senior from LONG LONG AGO, effort.
FRANKLY speaking, WRS isn't that hot-favored team in all competition, but somehow we are getting to the top. being the COLD DOOR to reach the FINAL ROUND, of course, people will not report on our game, or take our photos.

this LAST game was played pretty alright, opponent don't have to win us to win anything, they can afford to lose this game cause they will still be the overall champion. started with pretty good pace, scoring each other's basket, but the problem comes in when I, SAM OH, started to made mistake that cost the team morale.

game was pretty tight throughout, and the game is counting down to the last 30 secs or so, and WEIYAO made a three-point shot far away from downtown, making us to have a 6points lead.of course, MINYI coach made a timeout to adjust his player for the next 30 secs. after the timeout I, SAM OH, made a turnover again. i guess everyone was thinking opponent KOK WAI will make the three-point to narrow the gap, but to our surprise, opponent NO 8 step out and make 2 three-points shot within 25 secs. it was DOWN TO 5 secs, CHEE SIONG start the ball from BASELINE TO SAM OH, after dribbling twice, SAM passed the ball to RICHARD, who's in a lay-up motion, and RICHARD manage to hit the lay-up before the game ends.

pretty memorable ending! and WRS is a team who don't like to give up in the game, still remember MR ONG said this before : ' WRS is a come-back king'; even though we are losing, we will chase the point till the game ends.

hey! don't forget the KOVAN cup we are playing. i still remember MR LI JUN had foul trouble in the game, earning 3 personal foul in first period and 1 more in the second period. playing without a back-up centre, MR LIJUN had to play with caution, while MR ZHEN FENG covering the holes. we managed to end the game with 6 players even though opponent were very physical.
